Women's Tennis to Face Temple Tuesday

PHILADELPHIA - The Penn women's tennis team will play its fourth straight home match Tuesday at 4 p.m. against Temple.

The Quakers come off Saturday's 7-0 sweep over Saint Joseph's. Penn (2-1) won every singles match convincingly, and captured two of the three doubles matches. Freshman Charlotte Ezratty has been perfect up to this point, winning all of her doubles and singles matches this spring.

Temple is 1-2 this season, earning a 6-1 win over New Hampshire and 7-0 losses to Ivy Leaguers Dartmouth and, most recently, Princeton.

The Quakers and Owls met up briefly in the fall season in Penn's Cissie Leary Tournament. Sophomore Daniela DePaoli took on Theresa Stangle in a consolation match, but DePaoli was forced to retire with the score 1-4 in the first set. The duo of Emily Wolf and fall-only player Mollie Anderson topped Lucie Pazderova and Stangle, 8-6.

In addition to Tuesday's match, Penn will host George Washington Saturday at 11 a.m. before taking a 14-day hiatus from competition.
