PHILADELPHIA Penn completed a sweep of its two Ivy League matches this weekend with a 5-2 win over Dartmouth on Saturday.
Penn took the doubles point with wins at number one and number three. Ekaterina Kosminskaya and Julia Koulbitskaya won at the top pairing, 8-3. Michelle Mitchell and Charlotte Tansill won the third match, 8-2 to secure the point for the Quakers.
Momentum was able to carry over for the Red and Blue into the six singles matches as they won four of the six to clinch the win.
The win moves Penn into second place in the Ivy League at 4-1. They trail only Yale, which is 5-0.
After the match, head coach Michael Dowd was pleased with his team’s performance.
“It was nice to finally be home and play in a comfortable environment,” he said. “Our doubles teams had a much improved weekend. Hopefully the confidence we gained this weekend will carry over to next weekend with Cornell and Columbia.”
