Women's Tennis Wraps Up Play in Cissie Leary

PHILADELPHIA - Playing in her second consecutive Cissie Leary Memorial Invitational singles final, senior Sol Eskenazi fell 6-3, 6-3, to Princeton's Lindsay Graff on Sunday at Hamlin Tennis Center.

Eskenazi reached the singles Flight 'A' final for the second year after winning last year's title by default over Penn teammate Sonya Latycheva. In 2014, she finishes as runner-up, winning four singles matches and two doubles matches - with partner Kana Daniel -over the weekend.

Also in Flight 'A', the sophomore Daniel made the quarterfinals before falling to the Tigers' Graff, while sophomore Sonya Latycheva fell in the round of 16 to Harvard's Monica Lin.

In singles Flight 'B', sophomore Luba Vazhenina and freshman Lina Qostal advanced to the quarterfinals before being defeated. Qostal was playing in her first collegiate matches. Senior Alexandra Ion advanced to the round of 16 before falling.

Freshman Nicole Berkman was defeated in the first round of Flight 'B' singles, and played her way through the consolation bracket to the final matchup, in her first collegiate tennis action.
