UNIVERSITY CITY, Pa.--Penn's distance medley team met an NCAA provisional mark while the team garnered three other ECAC marks. The women's track and field teamcompeted at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup hosted by Penn State in University City, Pa. over the weekend.
The distance medley team of Christina Morrison, Shaunee Morgan, Jesse Carlin and Stacy Kim clocked a time of 11:27.71 beating the 11:30.00 NCAA provisional standard. The team took second in the race, edged by Virginia Tech's foursome.
Morrison, Morgan and Carlin all ran ECAC qualifying marks individually as well.
Carlin ran her best time of the season, 55.71,in the 400 meter dashand finished 10th in the race. It was the sixth time Carlin met the ECAC standard this season.
Morrison ran her season best in the 800 meter run and finished in fourth place in a time of 2:11.35. It is her first ECAC mark in the event this season.
Morgan also clocked her best time of the season in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.72. She has run the race three times this season and qualified for ECACs each time.
The Quakers now gear up for Ivy Heptagonals, Feb. 24-25 in New York City.
