Penn's ECAC Qualifiers

PHILADELPHIA - It will be a fast-paced meet Saturday night at the historic Armory Track and Field Center in New York City as the University of Pennsylvania women's indoor track and field team gets set to participate in the Armory Duals. The entire meet will take only four hours to complete.

The meet begins at 6:15 p.m. with the semifinals of the women's 60 meters. The first field event is the long jump at 6:20 p.m. The meet is expected to conclude at 10:12 p.m. with the 4x400 relay.

Joining the Quakers at these duals will be Army, Lehigh, Maryland, Rutgers and Wake Forest, as well as Ivy counterparts Brown and Columbia, and host Virginia.

Last week, the Quakers were also at The Armory, participating in the New Balance Invitational. The 4x200 relay raced to the second-fastest time in school history, while freshman Charlotte Pope moved into sole possession of seventh place on the all-time weight throw list.

Thus far this season, five different Quakers have qualified for the ECAC Championships in a total of seven events. Three different relay teams have also reached the postseason meet. The Armory Duals is the last meet of the indoor season before the postseason meets begin, starting with the Heptagonal Championships on Feb. 27-28 in Hanover, N.H.

Complete results from the Armory Duals will be available on PennAthletics.com shortly after the conclusion of Saturday’s events.
