Women's Track and Field in Eighth After Heptagonals Day 1

Day 1 Results

ITHACA, N.Y.–After the first day of competition at the Heptagonal Indoor Championships, Penn women’s track and field finds itself in eighth place in Ithaca, N.Y.

Shaunee Morgan recorded the Quakers’ first victory of the day, winning the 200 meter dash preliminaries with an ECAC-qualifying time of 24.90 to qualify for finals.

Jesse Carlin notched Penn’s second win of the day, crossing first in the 800 meters preliminaries with an ECAC-qualifying time of 2:09.83.

Stacy Kim finished second in the 1 mile finals in 4:49.69 to qualify for ECACs, while her sister Claire Kim finished in 4:58.30, good for eighth place.

Off the track, Yelizaveta Lozovatskaya finished fifth in the pole vault finals at 3.60 meters, qualifying for ECACs.

In the long jump finals, Whitney Tagliavini finished fifth with 5.58 meters.

Kathryn Gevitz finished sixth at 5.54, and Camille Richard finished seventh at 5.50.
