Women's Track and Field Makes Home Debut

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women’s track and field team picked up five wins during their home debut at the Philadelphia College Classic on Saturday.

Ella Wurth posted the top time in the 800 meters, clocking a time of 2:12.91. Marin Warner also impressed in her debut at Franklin Field, winning the 1,500. She crossed the finish line in 2:12.91.

Another freshman who snagged a crown on Saturday was Nicole Macco. Macco launched herself to mark of 3.5 meters in the pole vault. In the 3,000, it was Ashley Montgomery earning the title. The junior posted a top time of 9:32.25.

The Quakers’ final two wins came from Kelsey Hay and Nailah Hill. Hay tossed her way to the javelin triumph, registering a mark of 47.43 meters. Nailah Hill won the discus with a distance of 45.06 meters.
