PHILADELPHIA – For the second straight week, the University of Pennsylvania women’s track and field team will head to New York, N.Y., this time to take part in the Virginia Duals on Feb. 14 at The Armory Track and Field Center.

Events begin on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. with the 60-meter hurdles. The long jump will kick off the field events at the same time. The meet will finish with the 1,600-meter relay at 9:45 p.m.

The three-hour meet will be scored on a 6-4-3-2-1 scale for individual events and 6-3-1 scale for relay races. There is a limit of two scorers per school per event and a limit of four competitors per event.

Penn will be in the Women’s Blue Division with Maryland, Lehigh and Ivy League rival Brown. Wake Forest and Virginia join the Ivy League’s Cornell and Columbia in the Green Division.

Track and field’s Big Apple encore comes after an impressive performance at the New Balance Armory Collegiate Invite in which three members of the team qualified for the ECAC’s. Junior Kimberly Shooshan became only the second Quaker ever to post a qualifying time in the 1,000-meter run, while Kathryn Gevitz and Camille Richard placed eighth and fourth, respectively in their triple jump flights.

Complete results from the Virginia Duals will be available at PennAthletics.com shortly after the conclusion of the meet.
