Performance Lists/Postseason Qualifiers

PHILADELPHIA – Following the team’s first meet of the season inside the friendly confines of Franklin Field, the University of Pennsylvania women’s track and field team will head to New Haven, Conn., for a tri-meet with Yale and Princeton on Saturday.

The meet starts at 12:30 p.m. with the start of the long jump and hammer. The track events begin with the 400-meter relay at 1:30 p.m. The meet is set to conclude about two hours later with the 1,600-meter relay.

Last weekend, Penn had three different individuals win event titles as well as two relay teams claim event wins. The Quakers finished with 21 top-eight finishes in the 40-team meet.

Against the same two teams last season, the Quakers finished just behind Princeton’s 84 points with 79 points. The Bulldogs finished with a score of 39. The Red and Blue won both the 400 and 1,600-meter relays, while Kali Strother (100 meters), Deanna Morelli (javelin) and Whitney Tagliavini (long jump) are the defending champions in their respective events.
