PHILADELPHIA - The Ivy League has announced its weekly award winners for men's basketball, and University of Pennsylvania freshman guard Antonio Woods has once again been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
This is Woods' third time being named Ivy League Rookie of the Week; he is one of a conference-record four Penn freshmen who have earned the honor this season, but the only one of the four to be honored multiple times.
Woods began the weekend by leading Penn in scoring at Ivy leader Harvard, scoring 12 points in a loss to the Crimson. He followed that up with an 11-point game at Dartmouth, adding six assists, four rebounds and two steals in 32 minutes.
Woods is averaging 7.6 points per game this season, and leads the Quakers with 74 assists.
Penn is back on the road this weekend, traveling to Brown on Friday and Yale on Saturday. Both games are scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m.
