PRINCETON, N.J. - The No. 20 Penn wrestling team bounced back from a 17-17 tie with Nebraska Saturday afternoon to blank Princeton, 47-0, Saturday night.
The Quakers' win capped a rare home-away double slate that saw Penn wrestle Nebraska at home in the afternoon before heading up I-95 to face the Tigers.
No. 1 Matt Valenti tied the all-time program record for wins with his forfeit victory at 133 lbs. He now has 128 career victories, tied with Brett Matter, and can break the record with a win Sunday at Lehigh.
All 10 Quakers in the line-up won, with bonus points coming in eight bouts. No. 20 Matt Eveleth highlighted the dual with his team-leading seventh fall of the season, pinning Nikhil Pereira in 2:06. Rob Hitschler also got a fall, pinning Eric Marcotulli in 4:37 at 149 pounds.
Penn closes out its dual meet season Sunday at Lehigh at 1 p.m.
