PHILADELPHIA - Penn's 2011-12 wrestling season begins in an unofficial capacity on Sunday with the Intrasquad scrimmage starting at noon inside The Palestra. Many of Penn's grapplers will be in action, looking to get traction heading into the opening tournament of the season next weekend at the Binghamton Open.
Probable lineups for the two-round scrimmage (Second Round Scheduled to Begin at 4 p.m.:
125 - Geoffrey Bostany vs. Kyle Taylor
133 - Bryan Ortenzio vs. Jeff Canfora
141 - Zack Kemmerer vs. Zack Ellis
141 - Mark Pinero vs. C.J. Cobb
149 - Steve Robertson vs. Jordan Michelson
157/165 - Troy Hernandez vs. Lorenzo Thomas
174/184 - Ian Korb vs. Mike Steltenkamp
285 - Steven Graziano vs. Anthony DiLonardo
Zach Agostino (157/165) and Erich Smith (184) will also compete, sitting out Round One before taking the mat in Round Two. Final bout listings for Round Two will be determined on Sunday.
The Red and Blue will enter the season ranked No. 14 by InterMat and No. 25 in the NWCA Coaches Poll. All-American Zack Kemmerer returns for his senior season ranked No. 4 at 141 pounds, joined by classmate Bryan Ortenzio, himself a former NCAA qualifier and preseason No. 17 at 133 pounds. Mark Rappo, preseason No. 11 at 125 pounds and a 2011 NCAA qualifier, has the day off as of now on Sunday, as does No. 5 Micah Burak - a two-time NCAA qualifier and 2011 Round of 12 advancer at 197 - and 2011 Ivy League Rookie of the Year, heavyweight Kyle Cowan.

In addition to the Intrasquad scrimmage, Penn Wrestling will welcome back many alumni over the weekend as part of Penn's Homecoming Weekend. On Saturday, the Richard B. Hines Memorial Alumni Meet will take place. There are five probable matches on the card:
