PHILADELPHIA- University of Pennsylvania women’s squash head coach Jack Wyant spent July 29-Aug. 8 in Chennai, India, coaching the U.S. Junior Women’s Team in the 2009 World Junior Squash Championships.
In a historic and competitive tournament, including an extremely close third-place playoff with India, the U.S. Junior Women’s Team captured a fourth-place finish, matching the highest finish ever for a U.S. Junior Women’s team in international competition.
Penn incoming freshmen, Yarden Odinak and Rachael Goh, also took the trip to India. Under the instruction of Wyant, U.S. representative Odinak made it to the semifinals in the Girls Plate division, while Goh competed as one of Malaysia’s top players.
