PHILADELPHIA - The Ivy League has announced its weekly awards in the sport of men's basketball, and for the third straight week and fifth time this season Penn senior guard Zack Rosen was named the Player of the Week. This week, he shares the honor with Harvard junior Kyle Casey.
Rosen earned the honor after leading Penn to wins over Brown and Yale this past weekend. In the win over the Bears, he scored 19 points including six of the final nine in the first half and three late jumpers to boost the Quakers to the 11-point win. One night later, he led all scorers with 20 points and topped Penn with six rebounds as the Red and Blue knocked off the Bulldogs, 68-47.
Penn will conclude the regular season on Tuesday night at Princeton. If the Quakers win that game, they will tie Harvard for the Ivy League title, both teams finishing 12-2. If that happens, the two teams will play a one-game playoff to determine the league's NCAA Tournament berth. Tuesday's game can be seen for freeon ESPN3.com.
