Lauren Caminiti

Lauren Caminiti has been named the Student Development Coordinator. In this position, Lauren will oversee and supervise our tutoring efforts, educate student-athletes on the various resources available, conduct regular meetings with student-athletes, and arrange workshops and events that will provide holistic development opportunities for our student-athletes. She will also serve as a liaison with select campus partners.

Lauren, a native of North Wales, PA, spent the last two years as the Student-Athlete Resources Specialist/SWA at Tiffin University where she also earned a master’s degree in business administration. Additionally, Lauren earned her bachelor’s in sport and recreation management from Temple University where she was also a four-year varsity letterwinner of the women’s lacrosse team.

Emily Howard

Emily Howard joins Penn Athletics as the Student Development Assistant. In this position, Emily will oversee and monitor the execution the Student-Athlete Academic Achievement Program, assist with the facilitation of corporate information sessions, communicate internship and job opportunities to student-athletes, engage in on-going communication with student-athletes and assist with various programs related to the engagement of student-athletes in Student Development programs. Emily, originally from Newtown, PA, most recently served as the Academic Advising Graduate Extern for student-athletes at Temple University where she also earned her master’s degree in psychology of human movement. Prior to attending Temple, Emily earned a bachelor’s in psychology from Clemson University where she was also a four-year varsity letterwinner in women’s diving.

Rachel Hiller

Rachel Hiller joined the University of Pennsylvania’s Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics in the summer of 2015 as the Director of Compliance and the Staff Advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She came to Penn from Tulane University, where she spent three years as the Green Wave’s Associate Director for NCAA Compliance. Hiller oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Office with a focus on monitoring recruiting, playing and practice seasons, roster management and continuing eligibility. In addition, Hiller oversaw the National Letter of Intent program and supervised all waiver and violation submissions. Hiller also served as the Compliance representative to SAAC.

Hiller is a 2013 graduate of Tulane University Law School. She holds a Certificate of Sports Law, Certificates of Advanced Study and Training in Dispute Resolution and Mediation, and was Editor in Chief, Volume 20 of The Sports Law Journal. While at Tulane, Hiller was a member of the Sports Law Society, serving as Alumni/Career Development Liaison and the Jewish Law Students Association, where she was social chair and Graduate School Ambassador.

Hiller did her undergraduate work at American University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Law and Society with a minor in sociology. A Dean’s List student, she was a member of the National Honor Society for Collegiate Scholars; the Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society; and the Alpha Lambda Delta Sociology Honor Society. Hiller swam for the Eagles, as well, earned Academic All-America.

Hiller is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the American Bar Association, as well as a member of the State Bar of Texas in the Entertainment and Sports Law section. She is also a Sports Lawyers Association member, a National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA) member, and a National Association for Athletic Compliance (NAAC) and National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) member.
 

Jen Capozzoli

Jen Capozzoli came to Penn in the fall of 2015 and serves as the Administrative Assistant for Coaches and Student Development. As the Administrative Assistant to select sports, Capozzoli partners with coaches and operations staffs to provide budget, expense, travel, and project support. In Student Development, she is responsible for supporting staff and student-athletes through programming and planning initiatives.

Capozzoli manages the Quaker Cup, an annual competition between Penn’s 33 varsity intercollegiate athletic programs that monitors academic and athletic achievement, team and individual community service, Quaker Day and SAAC attendance, and program involvement. She also coordinates awareness presentations with campus partners, such as the Office of Public Safety and Alcohol and Other Drug Program Initiatives.

Originally from Oyster Bay, N.Y., Capozzoli attended Oyster Bay High School where she was a four-year varsity letter winner in basketball and field hockey.

Prior to arriving at Penn, Capozzoli earned her Bachelor of Science in business management with a minor in social justice at St. John’s University, where she spent two years working in Athletic Facilities and two years in Athletic Business Affairs. She recently completed a Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership at Penn’s School of Social Policy and Practice.
