2011-12: Finished
12-9 on the season in singles ... Saw first action of the season at the
Columbia Classic (10/7-9), winning three matches before falling in the
Flight B championship match ... Won two qualifying matches before losing
in the Round of 128 at the ITA Regionals (10/13-14) ... Went 4-8
playing primarily No. 2 doubles with Rob Wong during the spring,
defeating Columbia in a tiebreaker to close out the year ... Battled
through late-season injuries to go 7-7 in singles in the spring.
2009-10:
Finished the year with an even 15-15 record in singles ... Played the
majority of his matches at the No. 4 spot ... Finished the spring with a
12-8 mark, 3-4 in the Ivy League ... 7-4 in doubles action and 3-1 in
the spring ... Opened the spring with a 9-1 singles record, including
seven straight victories ... Won at the No. 5 spot against Brown, 6-3,
6-3 (4/2) ... Beat Dartmouth in straight sets at No. 4 (4/9) ...
Defeated Columbia in three sets at No. 4 (4/16) ... Won two doubles
matches playing at No. 3, defeating Villanova (2/27) and UC Riverside
(3/8).
2008-09:
22-13 overall in singles … 12-9 in dual matches … 5-10 in doubles
matches … 5-9 in spring dual-match doubles play … Played anywhere from
No. 3 to No. 6 on the singles ladder … Spent the majority of the spring
season at No. 5, where he went 6-7, and No. 6, where he was 4-1 … Began
his collegiate career with a win at the City Six Championships (9/18-21)
… Won four matches at the tournament, defeating Temple’s Dmitry
Vizhunov in the final, 6-4, 6-1 … Went 3-1 at the Columbia Fall Classic
(10/10-12), advancing to the final where he was defeated by teammate
Phil Law … Won three-straight dual matches to begin the spring season,
defeating opponents from Drexel (1/24), Temple (1/28) and Florida
Atlantic (2/7) … 3-4 in Ivy League play … All three Ancient Eight wins
were in straight sets, coming against Princeton (3/28), Dartmouth (4/10)
and Harvard (4/11) … Picked up a win at No. 1 doubles with Hicham
Laalej, defeating Phil Bayliss and Michael Stauble of Saint Joseph’s,
8-6 (2/25).
